Autumn Term

This term, Year 1 studied a fantastic book about an alien called Beegu. In the story, Beegu came to Earth and met lots of leaves, puppies, adults and children who she tried to make friends with. Year 1 then discovered an alien in our playground! The alien guided the children around the playground to the objects and creatures he tried to make friends with; the swings, the hut, the goats and the pigs. Year 1 loved meeting the alien and wrote fantastic stories in English lessons, using time connectives and interesting adjectives, to retell the alien’s adventure. Year 1 enjoyed their alien themed work and the children have been keeping an eye out for any more extra-terrestrial visitors…
