Friends of Highfield (FOH)
Who are the Friends of Highfield (FOH)?
We are the Friends of Highfield Parent Teacher Association (FOH PTA) for Highfield Primary School (registered charity number 1181520).
We provide events and activities that engage and support the Highfield Primary School community, such as the Summer fete, Easter egg hunt and Disco, which are fun for our children and raise vital funds for the School.
The FOH school events help many families at Highfield create lasting friendships that go on long after your children’s primary school years. All events are listed on the ‘Classlist’ app and on our Facebook page.
FOH PTA’s purpose
Our purpose is to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:
- Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school
- Engaging in activities and providing facilities and equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
This work includes raising funds for the school, and planning school community events for adults and children to enjoy and that contribute towards community cohesion.
The Committee
The Committee comprises volunteer parents and carers from across the school, who contribute time to organise social and educational events, run fundraising activities and allocate funds raised.

Get involved!
Everyone is welcome to attend our regular meetings to discuss events, find out more about what we do and get involved.
We advertise meetings, coffee mornings and drop in sessions through Classlist, class reps and school newsletters.
If you are interested in finding out more or getting involved, in the PTA or in being a class rep (the link between the committee and the parents/carers in each class), please either:

- Catch one of us on a school run!
We would love every parent/carer to become actively involved in a way that works for them.
By joining, or being a class rep or volunteering, you get the opportunity to be at the centre of the school community while supporting the schoolchildren.
