Autumn Term

We have all been very excited as the new school year begins. Our topic for this term has been ‘London’s Calling’ Learning about London has been particularly exciting as it has given us the chance to learn more about the City we live in. We did some brilliant artwork and writing for our London display board and created some fantastic models of famous London landmarks such as the London Eye and Big Ben. Isabella said “I think my model of the London Eye looks just like the real thing!”

Some of us actually visited the City of London with our mummies and daddies in the holiday and at weekends. Tamrynn said “Miss Johnson I saw the London Eye when I went to London. It was just like it is in the pictures”. Our class dog Spike was very lucky as he was able to go on an adventure one weekend with one of our class members to see the sights of London too. Aaron said “Spike loved seeing the Big Ben and it was very funny when he had his photo taken with the soldier at Buckingham Palace”.

On Friday 13th November we all helped to raise money for the Children in Need Charity. We dressed as our favourite characters or teachers for the day in return for a donation towards the Children In Need Charity. Bowie said “I love Hello Kitty that is why I’ve come dressed as her she is my favourite!” Luke said “I’ve come as a snowman because it is the time of year when it may snow”. Maya said “Today we have learnt a lot of things about children who aren’t as lucky as we are and how we should be grateful for what we have”.
