Healthy Eating

Healthy snack guidance:

We allow children to have a healthy snack at break time. Children in Early Years and KS1 are provided with a piece of fruit/vegetables, while in KS2 parents/carers have the option to provide their child with a healthy snack, for break time.

There has been some confusion and debate about what constitutes a healthy snack and after looking at NHS  advice and understanding the need for clarity on this issue we have decided for KS2 a healthy snack is a piece of fruit or a vegetable. This is in line what is provided for children in the Early Years and KS1.
